I need a change!
No, not something completely life altering but I am starting to feel like I’m getting a bit boring with my smoothies. I could make the same old smoothie with my eyes closed, drink it and not even realize I had made it. It’s like I’m on auto-pilot.
If we are anything alike, you may find yourself in a bit of a rut occasionally where everything you eat or drink seems to be the same. This happens to me more often than I like to admit...but it happens for a couple of reasons:
- I have such a small fridge/freezer that I can’t keep too many things on hand (soon to be solved as I have a second fridge coming...so excited!). Seriously, look at this thing. Have you ever seen such a slim fridge?
- When I like something, I really like it and that makes me want to have it repeatedly. So many times until I am completely sick of it. Then, I may never ever eat it again. My daughter is just like me.
I’m going to challenge myself this week to come up with a new smoothie combination every day to help me get out of my smoothie rut. Some combination that I’ve never had before - this is going to take some creativity and will probably result in a failure or two along away. That is just part of the journey to finding recipes that you love.
