Do you remember going to a fair and seeing one of those booths that looked like a lemon and served fresh lemonade that they made right in front of you by pressing a lemon, adding water and sugar? Well, they are a fond, fond memory of growing up. That is if growing up means buying a lemonade at last year’s fair. Today we spent so much time outside and by the time we came in we had a pretty good craving for some fresh lemonade. You know me – always thinking of some way to bring the blender in a. nd do a spin on a traditional lemonade recipe. This was so easy. Instead of squeezing lemons we made lemonade slushy.
There is some peeling and de-seeding required but otherwise this is really super easy to do. After just a minute of of prep we were pouring our drinks into jars and slurping pretty loudly. You know something is good when the slurping to make sure every single drop gets sucked up.
All you need is a lemon, water, sugar and ice. Such a simple lemonade recipe. Check out the measurements we used below. The sugar may be a bit on the high side for your own personal taste so start lightly and add as required.
