I’m trying something new this week. Sometimes I really want to share random things that I find interesting or that I’m thinking about but they don’t quite fit into a traditional food blog post. So, I’m going to save these tidbits up and share my random food thoughts (probably weekly but we’ll see) as you just never know what might be an “aha” moment for someone else.
What types of things will I share? Could be interesting articles that I’ve read in the past week, blogs that I enjoy reading, new products that I really want to try…I guess we’ll figure this out together.

7 Snacks Scientists Say You Can Eat at Night and wondering how many years of school it takes to get that job and why don’t they tell you about these types of awesome jobs when you are in high school?
When Does Alcohol Go Bad? Did that grab your attention? Seriously, I always thought you must be doing something really wrong if you had to throw away alcohol.
- This great looking Laksa Soup from Recipe Tin Eats. It looks like my favourite soup that I use to get on my lunch break at a local market in London, Ontario. It is all I can think about right now.
- This Peanut Butter Pretzel Icebox Cake from The Noshery. I so wish I had a really good reason for making it…like a birthday or anniversary…I really need to make a friend STAT with a birthday this week! Good friends make cakes like these.
- More storage space so that I can get all the gadgets that I have on my must have list. Check out #6 on this list of 7 Storage Spots You Aren’t Using (But Should Be) – I can just picture it now completely filled with serving dishes, my pile of cookbooks, food props, etc.
- A KitchenAid Artisan Mixer…I’ve been coveting for years and I can decide why I haven’t pulled the trigger. Might be because I’ve never been able to justify it but it could just as easily be that I’ve never been able to choose which colour I would want. I’m the girl who can’t decide which brand of milk to buy at the store (and there are only really 2 options).
